Nutrition Coaching
Nutritional coaching differs from standard approaches that impose restrictive diets, requiring the client to adapt to them. Instead, nutritional coaching finds a strategy tailored to the client's specific needs and ability to follow it long-term. A key benefit of the strategies used in nutritional coaching is increasing awareness and knowledge about nutrition, helping maintain achieved results. Another distinguishing feature is the partnership between the client and the coach, where they agree on tasks and how to execute them.
Getting Started
The process begins with a detailed nutritional consultation, either in person or online. This initial meeting helps the coach and client get to know each other. The client shares their experience with nutrition, past challenges, expectations, and potential obstacles. The coach gathers as much information as possible about the client’s motivation, health mindset, and lifestyle.
Progress Tracking
Once the consultation is complete, the client begins implementing the chosen strategy with ongoing support from the coach. They maintain regular communication, with the coach acting as a trusted guide, helping overcome difficulties and ensuring consistency.
To facilitate tracking, the coach creates a digital progress tracker (Google Sheets). This shared space allows both the client and coach to monitor progress based on the chosen strategy. The coach has continuous access and can see daily updates, reinforcing the client’s sense of support and accountability.
Check-ins
At the end of the month, the client and coach meet again to review results, strategy effectiveness, and new insights gained. They discuss possible next steps like focus on shifts toward habit formation, crucial for maintaining results.
