👩🔬Изследване от 2013 година проучва влиянието на добавени упражнения с лека тежест, комбинирани с ограничаване на кръвния поток, при полу-професионални ръгби играчи. Интересното, което направили учените тук е, че приложили ластиците само върху долните крайници (краката), дори и при упражненията за горната част като лежанка и набирания. Въпреки това обаче мъжете, които тренирали с ластици (с ОКП) увеличили силата на лежанката си с 5.4 кг, а тази на клека с 7.8 кг. По време на период на трениране без ластици (без ОКП) регистрираното увеличение било 3.3 кг на лежанка и 4.3 кг на клек.
